Currently, Lynn Carroll is the principal and the Virtual Legal Assistant you will work with when you partner with Carrollegal.  Her bio follows:

I have always planned to have my own business, I just took some detours to get here.  I entered the legal field in 1986 as a secretary to a solo real estate attorney in Springfield, Massachusetts.  I then went on to work for a small firm in El Paso, Texas and a solo practitioner in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Along the way there were stints at the Federal Public Defender's Office for the District of New Mexico and the City of Las Cruces, New Mexico City Attorney's Office.  My real passion, though, is working with SOHO attorneys--they are a special breed!  Usually, they also have an entrepreneurial streak.  And, if they don't, they need my services even more.  I have fifteen years of experience providing support services to SOHO attorneys and I know that I can contribute directly to the success of your practice.

In 1990, I earned the PLS Certification from NALS...the Association for Legal Professionals.  In 1995, I successfully completed the CLA (Certified Legal Assistant) examination given by the National Association of Legal Assistants.  I am currently reviewing for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification and plan to take the exam in the near future.  My Certified Notary Signing Agent designation was achieved in 2002 and IVAA EthicsCheck certification in 2006.

Most recently, in anticipation of adding real estate professional support and transaction coordination to my offerings, I completed the Real Estate Professional Assistant course from the National Association of Realtors®. 

I use Microsoft Office 2003 Professional and WordPerfect in my practice.
